I found my love of photography at an early age. I received my first camera as a Christmas present when I was seven. It was hot pink, took 110 film, and went everywhere with me. Many cameras have passed through my hands since then and all of them have helped me tell a story. Stories of family, love, youth, joy, and the details of life.
I’m married to a wonderful man who encourages my artistic tendencies even when they don’t make sense in his engineering brain. He is hopelessly camera shy and is quick to point out photo opportunities that don’t include him.
I am also a mom. You can tell by the milk stains in the bottom of my purse, the Cheerios stuck to the seat of my jeans and my persistent need to run back into the house for one more thing I forgot to grab before leaving.
As a parent I can say with absolute certainty that life passes way too fast. Photos carve moments out of time and hold them for us to enjoy forever. I feel so privileged every time I capture those moments for others.
